Y4 Head West

We started our day at Jubilee Pool in Penzance. After a dip in this sea filled basin we walked a mile to Newlyn. Once effete we visited Helen Glover’s family ice cream vendors: Jelbert’s, for an ice cream that had been made that morning. On the wall of the shop was the paddle in which Helen used in the 2012 Olympics. The ice cream was delicious and it’s well worth a try if you are in Newlyn or passing through.

We walked back along the promenade then walked again once in Marazion. We ate lunch in the park, played and made some new friends. After that we walked across the Causeway to St Michael’s Mount as the tide was out. It was a glorious day.
