Why do Christians put a cross in an Easter Garden?

Fal Class have been working to try and answer this question. We met Tessa ( a puppet) who is a Christian and she brought in some artefacts to teach us about The Easter Story including the events of Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. We learnt the significance of the cross as a symbol for Christians as a sign that Jesus loves them. We understand that Christians enjoy happy celebrations of new life on Easter Sunday , as the day that Jesus rose again, including a service at the Church. Many children chose to make their own Easter Gardens. We enjoyed an assembly from Father Stewart from Constantine Church and saw a stained glass window which showed part of the story. We finished with an egg hunt and delicious Easter cakes and a film.
