Tamar Class Learn About Puberty in RSE 27 Jun 2013

Tamar class kick started their relationship and sex education unit of work yesterday with a fun activity to recap on what they learned last year.
Working in groups, children drew around a person and then annotated it with drawings, words and their ideas about puberty. Our PSHE governor, Dr Adrian Roberts observed the whole lesson and was on hand to lend any expert advice.
It turns out that everyone had remembered a lot since they were taught about puberty last year. The children progressed during the lesson from being barely able to hear the word ‘sex’ without embarrassed laughter, to talking openly with each other about how and why their bodies will change and develop as they get older.
Well done Tamar.
