Teaching assistants

Carly Kent

Mrs Kent joined Constantine Primary School in 2007 and works with the reception children in Fal Class as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant alongside Mrs Savage. She has a particular interest in Early Years and was previously the manager at Constantine Pre-school.

Mrs Kent is also a Trauma-Informed Schools Practitioner.

In her spare time, Mrs Kent loves running, walking and spending time with her 3 children who all attended Constantine Primary School.

Pippa Jones

Mrs Jones has many skills (including Latin), and they can all come in handy when teaching the children at our school. She loves reading and can read a whole book in only a few hours! She is a brilliant proof reader. All of Mrs Jones children were once taught at Constantine.

Mrs Jones currently works in Kenwyn Class with year 4 children, but she also has responsibility for managing learning interventions across several classes. In addition, she runs Kids Club each morning.

Rozelle Micklem

Mrs. Micklem works in Helford Class as a teaching assistant. When she is not teaching in Helford, she can be found administering first aid to children, or teaching RE and music across the whole school in her role as an HLTA.  Mrs Micklem has been at CPS a long time and we really couldn’t do without her. She is very kind and caring to the children of Constantine Primary School and always is happy to help with a big smile on her face.

Annabell Moyle

Mrs Moyle is a wonderful teaching assistant who works in Lerryn Class. She is always smiling and works hard to support children’s learning needs in all subjects. Mrs Moyle was once a pupil herself at Constantine School and she has some great memories from being in the netball team. She now has four children of her own all of whom have left our school now. She is a very busy lady who loves reading and is very good at sewing and along with Mrs Skewes, teaches cookery across our school.

George Ireland

Mr Ireland is one of the newest members to join Constantine Primary School. Currently helping in a variety of classes as a TA, he also helps with kid’s club and can also be seen every Friday supporting the team that runs the swimming lessons at RNAS Culdrose, his former working home.

He has lived in the village for a number of years and his own daughter went to the school, and kids club, so knows the school very well and the great team he is now working with.

Mr Ireland has confused the students by being a Scotsman, living in Cornwall but not from Ireland!! It is a great source of conversation.

Kim Potts

After spending many years in London, Miss Potts moved to Cornwall with her family. She lives in the village, loves village life and enjoys Cornwall’s fine beaches.

Kim joined Constantine School in 2013. She is currently working in Cober Class as a teaching assistant.

She has a strong background in the early years. In 2017 she trained as an autism champion.

Penny George

Mrs George is a teaching assistant based in year 1. Constantine has been her first primary based TA position having only worked in secondary settings before joining the school in 2014. She specialises in Drama and loves helping the children create and develop anything remotely theatrical. Outside of school she can been seen regularly treading the boards with local amateur theatre companies be it acting or directing, you cant keep her off the stage.

Hannah Ruberry

Mrs Ruberry is based in year 5 in Tamar Class.

As a child she attended Constantine Primary School herself and she has very fond, happy memories of productions, sports events and friendships she made here. Mrs Ruberry was previously the Deputy Manager at Constantine Preschool which gives her a great insight into the Early Years sector.

She is always smiling, happy and willing to listen and is a great asset to our school.

Anthea Alexander

Mrs Alexander is a very valued member of staff at Constantine Primary School. She is based Tresillian Class, supporting Year 6 children. She has an excellent knowledge of the French language, and teaches every class French once a week. Her enthusiasm and positive approach to the subject have enabled many to become confident French speakers.

She always looks fabulous and glamorous. However, she cannot stand rats, mice, snakes or spiders!

Being brought up in London, Michelle moved to Cornwall six years ago and has never looked back! Michelle has a strong background in art having originally been in publishing for many years and believes that through art, children can develop the skills for self expression and communication. Michelle joined Constantine school this year and is currently working in Fal class.

Mrs Sam Comyn

Sam Comyn has lived in Constantine for 13 years. She has three children who have all been taught at Constantine School. She also has two cats and a handful of fish.

Sam has worked at our school for two years and she is currently based in Reception Class.

She is passionate about health and fitness and can often be seen running around the village each morning, come rain or shine. She is however partial to a slice of cake – especially chocolate or carrot cake! By the way – she cannot stand rodents!
