Caroline Gilbert

Mrs Gilbert is very proud to be the Head of School at Constantine and has been a member of staff here for many years. She has seen many changes over the years and even remembers going for a swim in the schools own outdoor pool during her lunchtimes when she first started here as Miss Cheshire! Having started in September 1998, she then become the Assistant Headteacher for 14 years and is now pleased to be leading the school along with our Executive Headteacher Claire Smith and the Kernow Learning team. Mrs G (as the children call her) is very approachable and is keen to develop positive relationships with all pupils, staff, our families and the wider community.

As a long-standing member of staff here I am privileged to be part of a school that always puts children first. All staff here are committed to creating an environment that is positive and encourages all children to thrive emotionally, physically and academically.   We are very proud of the fact that the experiences and opportunities that are on offer to all children at Constantine School are incredible and without doubt, make this school a very unique and special place to learn.

One of my loves is being outdoors, enjoying Cornwall’s wonderful coastline and countryside and organising camps for our pupils, as these are some of my best memories from when I was at school. My dream is that our school will; enable all children to move on after many happy years here, having had a great time, making many friendships and memories, taking up a wide range of opportunities and experiences, helping to prepare and set them up for the rest of their lives.
