Andy Brumby

Andy is currently Director of Achievement for Kernow Learning. He has worked in the education sector for more than thirty years, twenty of which were spent in the classroom as a teacher. In more recent times he has worked as a teaching and learning consultant for the local authority in Cornwall specialising in raising the achievement of disadvantaged children and young people. Andy is proud to be a senior leader of the newly formed Kernow Learning multi-academy trust and feels privileged to work in its 17 schools across Cornwall. He  brings five years’ experience as a governor to his present role, including two and a half years as the Chair of Governors at St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Bodmin. When not at work, Andy likes to spend time walking his dog in the beautiful countryside around his home in Bodmin or watching his favourite football teams, Plymouth Argyle and Swansea City.
