Our School

Constantine Primary School is part of Kernow Learning, a multi academy trust of 19 Cornish Primary Schools.  For more information about Kernow Learning please visit www.kernowlearning.co.uk and to view important Trust documents please click here. We have approximately 180  pupils on roll whose ages range from 4-11 years. The children are taught in seven single form entry classes, each named after a Cornish river.

All of our classrooms are spacious and we are lucky enough to enjoy splendid views over the Lizard peninsula towards Goonhilly Downs. We have a large school field which we make the most off all year round. We have a wildlife pond, an allotment, greenhouse and we also make use of the beautiful environment around us which includes Bluebell Woods!

We have a lovely library which is bursting with books and children have the opportunity to visit here on a regular basis. We have a large hall equipped with P.E. apparatus, an outdoor adventure play area, table tennis tables and a climbing wall. We also have an outdoor ‘Learning Lodge’ which is used during the school day, but also by our after school Kids Club.

All staff at Constantine School work hard to ensure that children have time to experience a broad and balanced curriculum in order to ensure that every child in our school community has the opportunity to excel and be the very best that they can be!

Also on site is the Constantine Pre-School. Although this is a totally separate unit to the school, we liaise very closely with the Pre-School staff and the pupils are able to share our facilities as well as prepare and familiarise themselves for entry into the primary school. We seek to enable the children to develop their full potential as individuals, and as valued and fulfilled members of society.

We are an integral part of Constantine village and the school plays an active part here. We’re lucky to be very close the the beautiful Helford River and our children all have the opportunity to learn to sail with the Helford River Children’s Sailing Trust.

We offer lots of extracurricular clubs which change over the year, for example, sports clubs, surf club, magic club, STEM club, craft club, choir, cross country and many more! We are also part of The Penryn and Peninsula Partnerships which means that we take part in a range of sporting events and leagues. We endeavour to provide opportunities for every child, every year, to represented our school in some form of sport.
