Tresillian

Welcome to Tresillian Class!

Tresillian Class is the Year 6 class. Our teacher is Miss Paine and our teaching assistant is Mrs Alexander. On Fridays we are lucky enough to be taught by Mrs Gilbert and on Wednesday mornings and Thursday afternoons we are supported by Mr Ireland. Our Autumn term topic this year is Ancient Egypt. We will be looking at lots of different areas in this topic and we will be creating some wonderful artwork! Please do pop into the classroom to have a look at the super learning and artwork we have been doing – we’d love to show you around!

Our Spring Term topic this year is European Discovery. We are going to be looking at lots of different countries in Europe and learning about their landmarks, rivers, capital cities and much more. In addition, we will also be reading the book Carrie’s War in literacy and thinking about what it would be like to be an evacuee in WWII. Our Spring term topic is a super topic for art as we look at a variety of different famous European artist and recreate their styles using a range of mediums. We also have a look at some famous art movements too – we will be starting with Art Deco. What a busy term we have ahead!
