Making cookies 22 Nov 2013

Having spent several lessons in maths learning about the importance of being accurate when measuring, we decided to put our skills to the test. We have been working with the following metric units: grams, kilograms, millilitres, litres, millimetres, centi metres, metres and kilometres. In today’s task we were using grams. Mrs Skewes explained how important it was to follow the recipe carefully and measure ingredients accurately to ensure the cookies weren’t too sticky, tough, soggy, stodgy or crumbly. We also had to be accurate with measurements of time to ensure we cooked them for just the right amount of time. They smelt delicious and stayed warm for ages. Yum, yum!
