Footloose the Musical! 7 Mar 2011

On Friday 4th March a coach with 36 children and 13 adults went across the River Tamar to Plymouth. We watched the 5pm performance of Footloose. The story Footloose is based around a true story which took place in Elmore City in Oklahoma.  The stage adaption of the 1984 film first got to Broadway in 1998 and has been on show at the West End as well as on Tour near enough ever since. Footloose was first shown in Plymouth in 2004 where it played for 3 weeks before a 24 week national tour. Well seven years later and we were sat in the Theatre Royal ready to see it! We had great seats, really high up in the upper circle…so tall people could not obstruct our view 🙂 From the moment the show started to the end we were all jigging about in our seats as the music and dance was so infectious. We have now got ‘Footloose Fever’ and will be making up a new ‘Wake and Shake’ number for our early morning work outs. Footloose in Plymouth was fabulous…what will be our next musical and where shall we see it? Watch this space.
