Dough Ball Fun for Tamar 23 Sep 2013

In Tamar Class the children were set the challenge to make 400 dough balls in preparation for our Harvest Festival. The children were given the recipe and freedom. They had to work as a team to organise themselves, their equipment, ingredients and time, in order to complete the challenge.

The children were given the recipe to make 15, so had to use their mathematical skills to work out the relevant quantities. Different groups were asked to make different numbers meaning different mathematical equations were needed to work it out.

The children did brilliantly and it was certainly an improvement on our effort last week making cup cakes. Everyone enjoyed eating our dough balls and we even managed to get a tweet from Pizza Express for our efforts!

Well done Tamar!
