Tamar’s Outdoor Learning

Today Tamar got to enjoy the delights of our outdoor space we are so fortunate to have. We explored autumn colours and patterns making some beautiful mandalas then thinking about their science topic, insulation, the children thought about what was needed to keep warm. With that in mind the child designed and built their dens thinking about the elements and the effects these would have. After some fabulous team work they all got to sit back and relax in their constructions with a hot chocolate and biscuit. A thoroughly enjoyable day appreciating the outdoors!

Tamar’s outdoor learning

We have had a great morning in Tamar using our outdoor space. The children explored autumn colours and patterns and created some beautiful natural mandala’s. Then linking in to the science topic, insulation, the children thought about shelters and designed and built their own which had to withstand a bucket of water! After such a huge success for all (and no wet children), they enjoyed hot chocolate and biscuits relaxing in their constructions.
