Youth Speaks Success 30 Jan 2013

Yesterday, 3 teams from Tamar Class participated in the Rotary Club’s annual Youth Speaks competition. Constantine School has competed in this public speaking event for the last twelve years or so and we always do pretty well.

Fourteen teams from six different local schools took part in the opening round of the competition. The event, which was held at Falmouth Art College lecture theatre, was packed!

We took 3 teams to the event: Guy, Finn and Louis spoke about Surf Life Saving; they got through to the next round. Molly, Claudia and Grace spoke about History’s powerful women and they also got through to the next round. Muirne, Mya and Alice produced an amazing speech about homework excuses, though sadly, they did not go through to the next round.

Well done do all our teams for representing their school and their class so well and for making Mr Wild a very proud teacher indeed.

The next round of the competition is on Thursday 28 February at the Penzance Guildhall at 4pm.
