Year 3 & 4 visit Bodmin Recycling Centre 26 May 2013

We all had a great day at the recycling centre. We know about the 3R’s (reduce, reuse, recycle) and came to see exactly what happens to all that we put out every fortnight for the kerbside collections. It was really interesting and we spent ages watching them sort plastics, card and paper and cans. The forklift trucks were driven skilfully and quickly as the workers sorted out all that came in on each truck efficiently. We are good recyclers at Constantine School as we recycle lots, and even up-cycle. Check out Kenwyn Class who have been designing ways to re-use plastic milk bottles.
