The Space Dome Comes To Constantine 24 Oct 2013

The children were very excited when they knew it was going to be another Science Day. With the whole school taking part we were all in awe of the big dome that almost filled our school hall. After a short briefing each class entered the dome and experienced a variety of shows all around the theme of SPACE – as this is our whole school topic. We all travelled through space and in time learning more about our solar system, galaxies, stars, constellations, all the planets and many facts about them. The rest of the day was spent doing other science investigations too, which was great.
It was well worth it and a small donation from parents along with £300 from our PTA funded this. We are now looking forward to our other planned science events such as our star gazing evening, moon rock day (yes real moon rock coming into school)- both in November and our next full school Science day in March 2014.
