Shakespearean Acting in the Outdoors 20 May 2015

We have been reading ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ in Tamar Class. After reading the second act of the first scene, we re-wrote the scene where Peter Quince addresses his band of actors in the forest. We wrote the scene as a play script, using modern day language and adding our own lines to create more humour.

When our play scripts were done, we acted them out in our ‘outdoor theater’ in the school garden. The plays were brilliant and the children loved recreating the genius of Shakespeare.
