Science Day 19 Mar 2013

Science day was brilliant! All the staff prepared investigations and the whole school participated. The idea of running a Science Day each year is to promote the subject, enjoy finding out and learning through experimenting and most of all to have fun. Mrs Gilbert our Science leader planned the day and also got the staff from the Science Dept at Penryn College on board too. Joe Ludlow, his colleague and eight science club pupils came along for the whole day. They joined in all morning , supported our teachers and gave an amazing demonstration in the afternoon. The investigations included: making and testing paper aeroplanes, defying gravity, making rockets, melting chocolate, bubble machines, drops on pennies, spaghetti towers…and many more. Take a look:
