RNLI Swim Safe 7 Jul 2016

Year 4 had a great day at the Lido in Penzance otherwise known as Jubilee Pool. We all took part in a swim safe workshop which was funded and organised by the RNLI and ASA (Amateur Swimming Association). We had a very practical and hands obsession with beach flags and learnt many life saving skills for if ever we get stuck in water or in trouble out at sea. We are all pretty good at swimming anyway but our treading water is now awesome as well as our: rolling, H.E.L.P position, Huddle and responses to lifeguard hand signals. It was great fun and very informative. At the end we got to keep our new swimming hats and we were also given a t-shirt, keyring, swim badge and a free entry ticket to the Lido to use during the summer. (Chelsea was our photographer and took all of these photos)
