Polar Poem by Andrew R 15 Nov 2015

An icy land covered in white,

shimmers and glistens in delight.

Ice bergs roll, shatter and crack,

while seals rest on the sea ice pack.

Soft as the Andrex roll,

snow flakes fall from the far north pole.

Gently drifting down to sleep,

to form a great, big, deep ice sheet.

Bitter ice takes its place,

carving at the mountain face.

Ice moves down the mountain side,

shimmering beautifully as it glides.

Glaciers meet water, melting starts,

bergs split off and each one parts.
