Lerryn’s Playing Place 25 Feb 2015

We are taking part in a very exciting project with Will Coleman and 8 other schools in the area to do with Plen An Gwari, the playing places of Cornwall. These medieval amphitheatres were the stage for huge performances, lasting up to 6 days and would be a highlight of the year for local communities, and there used to be two in Constantine. Lerryn are using the project to learn more about theatre and performance.

We went to the Tolmen Centre this morning to try out acting on a stage and find out what it is like to be an audience. We all loved the freedom of the space and it was great for our speaking and listening skills, and for developing a story. We then wrote a shape poem about what it was like to perform in our very own playing place.
