Learning Powers 9 Dec 2016

Our challenge was to make a Christmas lantern. We watched a demonstration, were given some printed instructions to remind us and then we got started. The hardest part was that we were not allowed to ask an adult if we got stuck- we had to use the learning powers of collaboration and perseverance to become unstuck and succeed. It looked quite easy but there were some interesting results and all the children managed in the end, even though it took a lot longer than expected. Sometimes the processes we go through are more important than the outcome of an activity. However. Our classroom now looks great and very festive.
