IOS Day 3&4 2 Jul 2015

It’s all going very well here. Our amazing children have clocked up 18 miles on foot, and the journey up and back from camp is now a walk in the park for them.

Yesterday we played netball, hockey and football against the Five Islands School teams and we came respectable 3rd, 2nd and 2nd. We also cycled round the island of St Mary’s and some managed to find the ancient burial chambers whilst others explored the Garrison and Peninnis Head.

Everyone is eating well and our resident cooks are doing a fantastic job – up at 5am preparing cooked breakfast and fresh packed lunches every morning, coming out with us all day and then preparing great meals in the evenings too.

The most unusual lunch roll filling choice has been ham and Nutella! We have since all tried it out.

Today we are all doing windsurfing and kayaking off Porthmellon Beach. Everyone is looking forward to having some Scilly fish before hiking back to camp for the talent show, hot chocolate and bingo!
