Greetings Earthlings! 21 Apr 2011

Freeze Dried Ice-Cream. Yum! Here is some authentic ‘Neopolitan Space Ice-Cream’ from the Science Museum in London. Astronauts have been eating freeze-dried food items such as these since the early Mercury missions. They continue to be used on NASA missions today. We have some questions for you before we taste it in class on our first day back (Tuesday 3rd May):

1.) What do you think the ice-ceam would taste like?

2.) Why do you think food such as ice-cream is freeze dried for space travel?

Don’t forget your brainstorm homework on Space.

Happy Holidays! 😀 Mr Anjari & Mr Jones
