Constantine Feast Day 9 Mar 2012

The line struggles onward and ever upward

Today Rhishart Tal-e-bot, a teacher and friend of Mr Anjari, came to speak to Kenwyn and Tamar classes about St Constantine. He taught pupils about the traditions of Constantine Feast Day, which is on March 9th every year. Events included baking Cockle Pie – which Tamar devoured – banging the bounds to let the local parishes know how big your parish was, and hurling. Thanks very much forcoming to speak to us. We learnt a lot!

Bacon, eggs and cockles or limpets are the treats in this pie

Noise and merriment as we banged our way around the school bounds
