Beach Safety Talk 29 May 2012

With more people using the sea and beach for pleasure than ever before, the demands placed on RNLI crews and lifeguards have never been greater. This is why the RNLI firmly believes that by providing a first class beach safety service to schools many more lives can be saved.

Their aim is to save lives by changing attitudes and behaviours towards beach safety.

When our local lifeguards and beach experts came into school this year they were im[ressed with our kmnowledge. We had some good wuestions and answers about the local beaches we use that are life guarded, the tides and the safety aspects we need to think about when visiting any beach. Our flag knowledge was excellent and we know where to swim and when not to swim. We also know how to call for help.
