A taste of the adult world at Flashpoint Lifeskills Centre 28 Jan 2014

Arriving at Bodmin Flashpoint Centre, we were put into our groups and directed to our stations. Two examples were the beach and the kitchen. These scenes showed dangerous situations that we had to fix.

It was a thrilling opportunity for Year 5s and 6s to experience what could have been real life. I learnt that train accidents can been caused playing games. Other people learnt that they should always look when they cross the road, that 999 calls the ambulance and fire brigade as well as the police, and to put a piece of clothing at the bottom of a door.

Thank you to the Flashpoint Centre staff and volunteers for teaching us lots of safety advice.

By Finlay Cavannah with the help of Kian, Max, Aimee and Grace.
