A Collaborative Task in Year 5 3 Mar 2017

Last week we talked about what good collaboration looked like and about how we might organise ourselves as a groups to achieve goals more effectively.

I set the children a task to design and build the tallest paper tower using just 4 sheets of A3 paper and some sellotape. The outcome of the task was the least important aspect however: more important was the manner in which the team collaborated. Each team had an observer who watched the group throughout the task and then fed back to the group at the end.
